As it says, Jaku's bank is dual-pitch. Kei's is only mono-pitch. But they are both fab amirite

This bank started off as me joking around with my friends and saying I could make a append with a name that wasn't dull, like "soft" or "strong." I keep with dull names because they're nice and descriptive and usually exactly what you know you're gonna get. So I said I'd make a bank and call it Jaku's "Ferocious Motherfucker" append. So I ended up doing just that.

This is pretty much a screamo bank and it works surprisingly well in TIPS.

Augh I've wanted to do this for a while, I had a vision in my head for this video, and finally I got the time to do it. XD I think this is the best MMD video I made so far. I did what I could with the limited software I have, and it turned out pretty much how I wanted.

Updates

Sorry about the lack of updates everyone!

Last few months have been incredibly hectic. I just finished graduating college though, so I have a little bit more time on my hands. But here's a few things that have been going on:

Kei's 2nd anniversary was on the 17th of April, as celebration, his VCV bank was officially released.

Jaku's birthday is coming up, it will be her 3rd anniversary on May 28th! So she will get a new voicebank released as well. (Will keep that a secret for now, but it won't be hard to guess)

Unrelated to that, Jaku is getting two new pitches for her VCV bank. They're both recorded, but unreleased, so she will be getting a tripitch bank! A two demos can be heard here, showcasing the pitches:

that's right, the high pitch is a "yelling" type pitch. I've always wanted to do it, and fiddling with a mic enough helped me be able to record so that the sounds wouldn't clip! I'm very excited about this addition. Her tri-pitch VCV will be available as a complete download, but for those who have already downloaded her mono-pitch VCV, there will be separate downloads for the extra pitches as well, so they can simply be added on.

And, last but not least, Kei is getting an updated English bank, using CZ's full reclist. It's been recorded, now it's just being oto'd and configured.

So that's about all the updates I have, I will be better at keeping this blog up to date, I promise!

Genki MMD Model

It's not often I edit models anymore, but when I do it's because... well, because I really want the model but don't have time to make it from scratch!

So recently I decided to make a Professor Genki model. I made the head, tail, feet, and pocket on the jacket in Metasequoia myself, but the rest I edited off an Idolmaster model. I think he does well in MMD, and I'm offering a distribution link of him as well, so I hope you all enjoy using him if you decide to. xD

Also in the video is a Miku model by Sosou, which I also edited to wear the "Sexy Kitten" outfit. Going off the readme, it says ok to edit, but kind of fuzzy around the redistribution area. So she won't be distributed to be safe for now, until I learn otherwise.

I updated Jaku’s bank with a new oto. I was going through and was like “what the fuck how did I think this was ok.” I do this like, every time. How so many things get past my radar… I don’t know. But I’m glad I went back to check it.

Hopefully I can record this weekend since I’m going home for a night. I’ll probably only do mono-pitch because I’ll be pressed for time, but I want to add more pitches later if it turns out all right.

Well, I'm really happy to be releasing Kei's Act 3 update as well. I really wanted to get this out there; and don't worry, Kame's VCVs will be next, I promise.

I won't to make ultra-sure everyone is aware that you should put a flag g3-6 on this voicebank to get the best results, without it won't sound AWFUL but it will lose that tiny bit of manliness. So please use the flag! It's in the readme as well. After that you can go apeshit with any flags you'd like.

This bank has been nearly finished for a few weeks, I finally overcame a few hurdles that made it incomplete, and now it is complete!

Next update Jaku's gonna get will either be a new VCV or new English. Haven't decided yet. But I have to give some love to my other UTAU too. o3ob

(I am, in fact, keeping Jaku's ACT2.1 up for download. Since ACT3 is such a big jump in difference, it doesn't seem right to just abandon the previous one. The quality is still good, but the voice-type is very different.)

All right, actually, Kei's birthday is on the 17th. But I'm gonna be busy this week so I want to make sure I get this all straightened out and posted. Ok? Ok.

First off -- I won't finished Kei's English VB in time. There's a lot of things that need fixing and some re-recording of sample that need to be done and I just haven't got the time to do it. D: So I'll be releasing him later when I feel more comfortable with him. Until then though, I finally ironed out some problems in my Human UST. it's not perfect, but I think it's as good as I can get it. So I'm releasing that today.

Jaku STRONG Append Release

All right for the past week I've been recording and working on Jaku's "strong" append, and today I am releasing it! Jaku Act 2.1

I'm releasing an update to Jaku's voicebank. It's a bit short notice, but she needed a few things to be fixed. I always get complaints about her American "r" sounds so those have been re-recorded. I also edited her otos on the "h" "p" and "b" sounds. So, everything should be in working order. Download her update here:

New UST +Update

I had a little more free time on my hands, so I tried making a new UST. This is the first time I've tried making an actual Japanese UST. xD It's for the opening theme of Kyo Kara Maoh, only the TV version, but maybe sometime I'll make the full version.

The UTAU I used is Note Dolcene, actually a UTAU I stumbled on a little while ago. I really liked his voice, and I actual made a model for him because... that's how I roll. Though I never posted anything here about it, no progress work or anything. xD I guess just because I finished him up so fast I didn't have a chance to post any WIPs. Or his final, for that matter. Eh. Well you can see it here.



Actually I'm still having problems with his eyes, sometimes they glitch for no discernible reason. :|
